What to expect

Before the shoot:

We’ll meet to talk about what you’re looking for, poses you specifically want, how to dress to maximize your happiness with the photos, sign a contract, and give a deposit.

Photo shoots are approximately one hour long. (Sometimes we finish in 45-50 minutes, sometimes we need an extra 10-15 minutes.)

During the shoot:

I have poses and prompts to help draw out real emotions—no smiling mouths without smiling eyes.

I’ll give you guidance on where to go and what to do.

After the shoot:

I will send you one or two shots ASAP—a “sneak peak”—and the rest of the gallery will be delivered via an email link within ten days. These images are lightly edited but not necessarily wall-ready.

From the gallery, you can choose ten (10) digital photos included with the cost of the package. Additional images can be purchased a la carte. Prints can also be purchased a la carte.

Once you’ve chosen your favorites, I will finish editing them and deliver them to you within three weeks.

All photos are licensed for personal use only, which means you can share them on your own social media pages, hang them in your house, give them to the grandparents, put them on your Christmas cards and so on. If you want to use them on your business website, your Thirty-One/Jamberry/Melaleuca/essential oil Facebook page, your business cards, your business’s Christmas cards, etc., please contact me for a commercial release contract.

Photos will be shot and edited in the style of those shown above and on the previous page. I do not do body alteration—you are beautiful as-is. Black-and-white available.

How much does it cost?

Shoots are $300. What does that include?

  • a one-hour photo shoot at an outdoor location for up to six people ($10 per additional person)
  • ten (10) edited photos (additional photos available for $15 each)
  • sales tax
  • transportation fees within ten (10) miles of the intersection of Dobson and Southern

If your chosen location has a fee for use or is more than 10 miles from the above location, additional fees will apply. I do my best to make the price what-you-see-is-what-you-pay. As a consumer, I hate surprises, so as a provider, I do my best to avoid surprises. If you have any questions, please ask.

A signed contract together with a $50 non-refundable retainer is required to secure a date and time.

How do I give a session as a gift?

The process is mostly the same. Contact me regarding what you’re looking for. Sign a contract. Pay in full instead of making only a deposit. If you know the date and location you’d like to secure, we can book that at the time of signing/paying. Otherwise, the recipient will contact me to choose a date, time, and location.

I can give you a paper gift certificate in one of a handful of sizes, or I can send you a pdf to email or print on your own.

The certificate is good for a one-hour session as long as my pricing remains the same. If prices go up, the certificate is good for the full dollar amount paid.

Holiday gifts are available here.

If you have questions or are ready to book, please fill out this quick form and I will get back to you typically within one business day.
