While this podcasting journey has had many lessons for Rocket Kid, an unexpected one is a refresher on US geography.
Podbean, my podcasting host, gives me maps of where the podcast has been downloaded. We’re learning where states are located as they light up on the map.
For example, this screen shot was taken in the morning on July 22, 2021:
The different colors are indicative of download numbers. That’s not what I’m planning to track here, but the maps will reflect the colors.
Sometimes the states show up in white instead of silly putty, which makes them difficult to contrast against the light grey states. As far as I know, I have no control over that. Mentioning it because sometimes when I share screenshots, that might be what it looks like.
We’re looking to get downloads in every state! Do you know anyone in a state not colored in who would love to listen to an episode or four of Ordinary Chaos? Share it with them! I’ll post screenshots in the thread below (ordered newest to oldest) with updates as they’re needed!
As far as internationally, we currently have downloads in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada (Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Ontario, Quebec), Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mauritius, Mexico, Netherlands, Puerto Rico, Russia, Spain, UK, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan. I will update that map here.
