31Oct21 photos: same photo several ways

As I’m learning new things, I just scroll through photos I’ve taken, looking for one to start with or two that I’d like to combine. I rarely have a detailed idea of what to make before I start.

So it wasn’t pre-planned to combine an old photo of Rocket Kid jumping off a boulder at Joshua Tree National Park with a macro photo of a plant. But once I had the idea to combine them, I had an idea of what I wanted it to look like.

This wasn’t it. But it’s the best I can do right now, and I was happy because I finally successfully used more than two layers.

I did mess with it just a bit and ended up with three variations. It’s interesting how much difference these changes made. Which—if any—do you prefer?

I like the blue and green peacock look and also the orange and yellow blast off look.

Messing with other effects, this photo is in the desert. No water. I could mess with it to make it look more water-like (ripples and such) but that wasn’t my goal.

And finally, I did one with the blue tea from last week. I didn’t touch the color of the tea at all, just the background.
